The description of Yuki from the Zoya website. A stunning winter white, with reflective opalescent flakes, evokes the tranquil beauty of snow sparkling in the winter sun. Yuki captures that same brilliance, its mesmerizing, multi-dimensional shimmer reflecting the bright, yet delicate sparkle of snowflakes as they catch the light.
This stunning winter white is infused with reflective opalescent flakes and holographic accents, creating a mesmerizing, multi-dimensional shimmer. For an added touch of innovation, Yuki features Zoya's first-ever ultra-fine ridge filler basecoat built-in, ensuring a smooth, flawless finish with no need for additional layers.
Yuki really does look like snow sparkling in the sunlight, running my finger over the polish there is no texture from the flakies and the polish feels very smooth, Yuki has a great formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for my swatch. I did one coat over a white cream on my left thumb. The last nail pic is three coats over my middle two fingers just to show the difference between two and three coats.
My little comparison shows this is a very silvery toned white.
While waiting on our car service we had to waste a bit of time and we headed into a toy store, checking out the Lego I discovered that there is botanical Lego, I adore Bonsai trees, however, I know myself very well and know that I would almost certainly kill a real Bonsai, I was thrilled to find a Lego version! It took me two days to put together mainly because I kept messing the trunk up when trying to attach the flowers. I did enjoy the process (mostly) the instructions were a bit of a struggle as it wasnt very clear which bit they ment at times due to the pieces being shades of brown and black.
Lastly I've been wearing Mooncat Green Eyed Monster since Monday and my hubby was amazed at this glow in the dark polish, the dark photos are his after we had fun doing a mini photo shoot with the bottle. This polish was still glowing off my nails even after a nights sleep, I cannot wait to wear it in summer and see how mad it looks.
Wow, the glow in the dark photos are so cool!! Especially the one with your hand spread out and the reflection. Tell your husband good job!! I also love your stamping!
ReplyDeleteYour Lego is gorgeous!! I usually find Lego's instructions pretty good (though it's been a while!), but I absolutely know what you mean about when there are dark bits on dark bits! My only suggestion is good lighting—maybe even a headlight. The finished product looks lovely against your Zoyas!
Yuki is an interesting colour. I'm not completely sold on it, though; it looks a little bit not quite sheer, but not quite opaque, either. I do like the shimmer though! How does she go as a topper? And did the built-in basecoat change anything?
