Nail Mail and My Current Manicure

Today I'm sharing my last Fancy Gloss haul, I ordered these in January and they arrived this week. Rainbow Connection does pre-orders for Fancy Gloss and you order in advance.

Left to right we have

Generally Fancy Gloss is the only brand of thermals I buy as they're always interesting colour combinations and they transition well without needing a lot of heat or cold.  They also last really well, I've been buying them since at least 2019 and none have died yet. (fingers crossed).

I used both Aguas Frescas the blue cold to lime hot thermal and Dainty Rose a plum cold to pink hot thermal.

With Aguas I used Virago Varnish Blueberry Bleak and Green Tea Frost with plates Uberchic Beauty Butterflies, Moyou London Bridal Collection 8 and 10 and Lace Collection 01.

With Dainty Rose I used Zoya Toni and Whats Up Nails Bargain-Villea with the same plates.

Both thermals had wonderful formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats of each.

Top coated with Barry M Plumpy topcoat.   

Weekend Manicure

Today on the blog I'm sharing my weekend manicure featuring Fancy Gloss and Virago Varnish.

I started with two coats of Fancy Gloss Prototype 3 2019, yes this is a thermal from 2019 and it still transitions like a dream, its a red when cold to a lime green when hot.

I then grabbed Virago Varnish Speedo the red and No More S'mores the lime with Whats Up Nails Plate B059 to stamp with.

Fancy Gloss are the best thermals in my humble opinion, I keep mine in a helmer drawer away from heat and light.  I havent any die and 5 years is a long time in thermal polish terms.

I still wish Virago Varnish had never stopped making polish, their creams are amazing for stamping.

A Zoya A Day - Jett

Jett can de described as a frosty silver with a textured finish.

I find it interesting this is listed as a pixie dust on the site, however, it is not in a pixie dust bottle or matte cap, nor is it a *normal* pixie dust, the only texture is the super large shard flakies.

This is such an interesting polish, its a silver base that reminds me of darker Trixie but its got these large shards of silver in it, so it does have a texture to it. My comparison shows Jett, Tilly, Trixie and Troy, not a dupe to be seen, all different finishes and colours.

Jett has a good formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for my manicure.  I've had to cute my right ring finger down as I broke it yesterday. I've filled the other nails on that hand down.

A Zoya A Day - Miranda

Miranda can be described as a rose sparkle in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust - textured, matte, sparkle formula. 

I really like pixie dusts, if you need something that once dried isnt going to chip easily the pixie dusts are it.  Miranda has a great formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for my manicure, I am wearing two coats of Linds on my left thumb as I wanted to work out whether Linds was a dupe of Miranda but it turns out my swatch stick of Linds has faded. Check out the bottle and swatch stick comparison at the end. 

Miranda is on the left and Linds on the right.

I'm glad they are not dupes of each other, Linds is also way more opaque than Miranda.

A Zoya A Day - Arianna

Arianna can be described as a blue-toned red wine-textured PixieDust with Mega Hex particles.

Arianna is a gorgeous shade, however, I think this polish had issues in production, its not exactly jam packed with glitters like a normal pixie dust and I have seen posted where one person got a bottle with little to no glitter inside at all. In fact my bottle had no mixing ball and I had to add one as all the glitter had sunk to the bottom of the bottle.

Arianna has a good formula, no running or pooling, just a bit sheer, I did three coats for my manicure and I added topcoat to my left thumb.  As you can see this does not dry down flat like other pixue dusts, the comparison shows no dupes for her although weirdly Miranda and Linds are super close, I'll do a post on Miranda soon.

Valentines Nails

I'm a bit late with this manicure lol I kinda blanked on it being Valentines yesterday and actually posting this.

Ah well better late than never eh.

So I started with a base of the stunning Once In A Red Moon by Fancy Gloss, a deep pinky red with cold to a clear/white when hot with a very strong blue flash. I did two coats, then I grabbed Zoya Cherri and Whats Up Nails Bargain-Villea, I used stamping plates Zjoy Plus 066 and Finger Angels XL34. I used Barry M Matte Topcoat.

So please with how they came out.

A Zoya A Day - Erin

Erin by Zoya can be best described as a soft, pale flesh-toned pink nude sheer with subtle flecks of silvery glitter.

Not sure why they list this as a metallic, the flecks are large particle shimmer or a micro flakie, this is very close to my skin tone and very sheer, I did two coats and took photos, then decided to add a third to see what happened. I switched out the brush for the z wide to help with application, the formula is good, no running or pooling just sheer, this polish is probably never going to be opaque.

This dries super shiny and smooth, I like that you can see the large particle shimmer too.

An early valentine manicure

Today I'm sharing an early valentines manicure I've done for the weekend.

I started with two coats of the wonderful Fancy Gloss Scarlett Rose, a tri-thermal thats a deep vampy red when cold and a med red when warm and a pale pink when hot.

I then stamped using Zoya Cherri the red and Whats Up Nails Bargain-Villea the pink.  I used Born Pretty Valentines Day BP-L006, Whats Up Nails B041 and Maniology BM-XL09.
