Alma by Zoya can be best described as a warm golden peach metallic featuring the exclusive liquid-metal holographic jelly formula.

This was a set of 6 all in the same formula.

One from a favourite whole collection, good formula, no running or pooling, if you have longer nails or a whiter smile line you'll probably need three coats.

Weekend Mani - Nice, Eunice and some stamping with Dree

 Hey Friends

I picked up the full Zoya Intriguing collection from Nail Polish Direct in their black Friday sale, I've run out of swatch sticks and label tape! Have ordered swatch sticks and label tape, so hopefully at some point this week I'll be able to do a swatch comparison.

As I didnt manage to get a post up on Friday, I'm going to share my weekend mani with you.

I started out with two coats each of Nico and Eunice, great formula on both, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats.

Then I decided I fancied some stamping, to colour match I went with Zoya Dree. I used plate Flourishes and Ornaments from Uber Chic with Big Bling Stamper from Clear Jelly Stamper.  These have turned out really nicely, I then topped with Barry M Plumpy topcoat and then used Barry M matte topcoat over the stamping.

A Zoya A Day - Mitzi

Today on the blog we meet Mitzi

Name - Mitzi
Year - 2011
Number - ZP0559
Coats - 3
Finish - Matte
Collection - Mod Mattes
Colour - Yellow/Lime
Topcoat - No

Mitzi is a discontinued polish from Zoya, I would describe it as a pale chartreuse yellow. When this set came out it was limited edition, I was extremely! lucky to find a mini set that had only been swatched once or twice.

I've swatched this on my thumb only as its a mini bottle, the formula on this is not good, it dries very fast meaning its almost impossible to get it on your nails without streaks. I did two thick coats with the minimum of brush strokes  I have worn this in a full mani once as I wanted to test the formula myself. I'm also not sure if my bottle has faded ever so slightly...? Actually its not the bottle thats faded its the actual swatch thats changed colour. I also popped topcoat on half my nail so you could see what that looked like.

You can see it has more green than Bekka.

Reading reviews seems this was the trickiest of the three because of the high yellow content.

Available on the UK website - No

Name - Bekka
Year - 2008
Number - ZP0446
Coats - 3
Finish - Metallic
Collection - Chit-Chat
Colour - Yellow/Lime
Topcoat - No

Bekka is a sadly discontinued polish, I'd describe it as a lime yellow with yellow/gold/red shimmer.

This is stunning, its one of my all time favs, I've worn it a lot. Its got a thin sheer formula but it doesnt run or pool, I also use the z wide brush to give as streak free a finish as possible.

I did three coats on its own on my left hand and one coat over Virago Varnish No More S'mores on my right hand. I really want to compare this to Eunice from the new Intriguing collection. My photos do not do this polish justice. I wish I had a backup bottle.

Coats - 2
Finish - Cream
Collection - Stunning
Colour - Yellow

Darcy by Zoya can be best described as a full-coverage, sunny yellow cream. I'd call this more an egg yolk yellow.

This is darker than Creamy, pretty good formula, streaky on the first coat but it self levels very well and its opaque in two coats. Do please ignore the mess that is my ring finger, I shoved my hand in my pocket and the polish on that finger wasnt dry.

I love both these collections and I really wish they did this kind again where you got a cream with a corresponding shimmer.

Bonus Ellie pic as she is too cute not to show!.

Name - Creamy
Year - 2007
Number - ZP0405
Coats - 2
Finish - Cream
Collection - Candy
Colour - Yellow
Topcoat - No

Creamy is a discontinued polish from Zoya, I'd describe it as a sunshine medium pale yellow.

This has a much better formula than Miss Pippa, its sheer and streaky on the first coat but the second coat fixes all that, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats, lovely colour.

A comparison showing you Pippa and Creamy and I'm bummed they discontinued Creamy and not Pippa, also this does dry shiny but apparently my ridgy nails decided to make it look matte.

Think I need to buff my nails out. Last picture is the gorgeous Corinna who I wore this weekend.

Colour - Yellow
Topcoat - No

Pippa by Zoya can be best described as an ultra-bright, sunny and cheerful medium lemon yellow creme.

I love the colour of Pippa but oh boy, not the best formula, streaky, thin and its quite difficult to work with, its hard to get just the right amount on your brush. This took three coats, its slow drying as well, I have Creamy to try for Monday which is extremely close colour wise. I think I've figured out whats going on with my photos, I dont think my phone camera likes my LED light :( the nails on the right are the most colour accurate, will need to have a think about how to take pics in future to get the best pics. Last pic is Ellie begging for fussing from my hubs :) she is uber cute!

Daisy by Zoya can be best described as a refreshing lemon meringue yellow metallic with an energizing turquoise metallic flash.

How pretty is this yellow, good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. my little fingers are ridgy so I did need three on them, love the blue shimmer, so pleased you can see the shimmer. This whole collection was so pretty, I own all of them.

Piaf by Zoya can be best described as a full-coverage, fresh forsythia yellow metallic. This is a discontinued polish.

This is so pretty, its sunny yellow with sparkles. Good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. I could probably have done with a third coat to make it more opaque. you can see on my little finger I did a very thin coat.

Look at Obi and his crazy fangs! He hopped up on my lap after my shower and flopped down like this.

Jacqueline by Zoya can be best described as a full-coverage, perfect magnolia nude cream. This light creamy beige has slight warm undertones and a glossy creme finish. Originally created as a custom runway shade for fashion designer Peter Som.

I would call this pale yellow, this is my namesake polish, good formula, no running or pooling its just sheer so I had to do three coats. The pic of my nails on the right is colour accurate, although this does look different shades in different lights.

I've decided to swatch in the order my wall is, namely yellow, orange, pink, red, purple, blue and green, pic at the bottom for reference. For anyone wondering about the white dots, dots on caps means z wide brushes, dots on bottles means untrieds.

A Zoya A Day - Leopard Spots

Hey Friends

Today on the blog we meet Leopard Spots

Name - Leopard Spots
Year - 2018
Number - ZP0967
Coats - 1
Finish - Crackle Polish
Collection - Jubilee
Colour - Black
Topcoat - No

Leopard Spots can best be described as the new special effect topper for Winter 2018 - layer over textured PixieDust shade for an edgy leopard spots effect.

This is a crackle polish, it came with the z wide brush and it works very well over the pixie dusts, good formula, no running or pooling, its best to wipe one side of your brush then apply this polish, I show it over Zoya Solange the bright gold pixie dust so you can see the effect best. I've worn this over several pixie dusts, I really like it over Godiva and Tomoko. This is the last black. I've not decided on what colour to start with next, debating between the pinks, the reds and the yellow to oranges.

Last pic is a new supply of acetone, my last giant jug I still have a small amount left and its lasted almost 5 years. I tend to decant into a litre bottle then into a Zoya pump bottle for use, I only use the pure acetone for cleaning my stamping plates and cleanup, polish removal I use Zoya Remove+ as its much kinder to my nails.

A Zoya A Day - Raven

Hey Friends

Today on the blog we meet Raven

Available on USA website - Yes
Available on the UK website - Yes
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Raven
Year - 2006
Number - ZP0387
Coats - 1
Finish - Metallic
Collection - Gilty Gift Set & Extreme Collection
Colour - Black
Topcoat - No

Raven by Zoya can be best described as an intense satiny black balanced by very subtle silver shimmer.

This polish appeared in two collections, the extreme collection was Raven, Purity and Trixie and the Gilty set had Raven, Purity and the 18k Gold Flakie topcoat. I'm guessing the Extreme set was first given the polish number of 387.

This has a very good formula, no running or pooling and if you do a thick enough coat its opaque in one, if you do thinner coats you'll likely need two. While the polish does have shimmer as you can see in the bottle shot, this sadly does not show up on the nail.

This does stamp, it looks kinda grey when stamped though so not the most opaque stamping but then its not a stamping polish per se.

Last pic is Ellie doing what she does best :) sleeping in weird positions :) she is too cute with the tiny bit of fang showing and the two toned toe beans, and the spotty bellie :)
