Seraphina can best be described as a full-coverage, Polaris silver metallic, well thats an interesting description, what is a Polaris silver?

This is quite an unusual colour, its a jelly grey base with silver micro glitter and I think there's white micro glitter in their too, good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats.

Third pic, could Ellie be any cuter?! Had a laugh this morning, I went to go do my run but the long pants I chose are actually too big to run in so I came in and switched to my shorts, I did my run and I came in and hubs said now I believe you about Obi, I said oh what did you catch him doing, he said I came outta my office and he was rolling around on the floor with your trousers, I said I told you! he's obsessed with my clothing, he loves to paw it.

Alicia is a linear holo with a touch of gold.

Another of Zoya's iconic scatter holos, this has a very strong gold shift, good formula no running or pooling, just a bit sheer so needed three coats. Third pic is Ellie on my lap where she spent a lot of time on Saturday, she likes to waft her tail around like she's part dog :)

A Zoya A Day - Laney

Hey Friends

Its Friday again, almost the end of the month and F1 is back racing at Sochi too.

Today on the blog we meet Laney

Available on the UK website - No
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Laney
Year - 2010
Number - ZP0609
Coats - 2
Finish - Metallic
Collection - Reverie
Colour - Silver/Grey
Topcoat - No/Yes over stamping.

Laney is a discontinued polish from Zoya and described as a duo-chrome moonlit silver metallic.

I would not describe this as a duochrome, I would say this is a silver metallic with a strong green flash. Its an unusual colour.

Good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. This is a bit brush strokey too.

I then decided on a bit of nail art for the weekend and used one coat of OPI Nails The Runway, then stamped with OPI My Italian is a Little Rusty (dark orange) and OPI Have Your Panettone and Eat It Too (light orange). The stamping plate was Pretty in Plaid by Uberchic and I used Barry M Plumpy topcoat.  Third pic is an attempt to show the green flash, yeah that didnt work, pic four is the nail art and pic five is a close up of the two coats of Laney with one coat of OPI Nails The Runway which is a grey base with rainbow sparkles.

Coats - 1
Finish - Holographic Topper
Collection - Barefoot
Colour - Silver

Dallas can best be described as having a clear base with silver glitter, large white hexagonal glitter, and small white glitter running throughout.

This is similar to Eclipse in that it has silver holographic sparkle but with added white glitters.

This has a good formula no running or pooling, it is slightly base heavy though, I show one coat over OPI My Italian Is A Little Rusty from the Muse of Milan collection. My thumb has one coat of Eclipse so you can see the difference between then and the last pic shows the bottles side by side with Dallas on the left.

Beth by Zoya can be best described as a soft, sandy, champagne metallic.

Another gorgeous neutral with that little something extra to pull it out of the dull cream line.  Great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two sweet coats. This is a metallic so you can see some brush strokes but they dont show up so noticeably in real life.

A Zoya A Day - Bar

Hey Friends

Today on the blog we meet Bar

Available on USA website - Yes
Available on the UK website - No
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Bar
Year - 2014
Number - ZP0761
Coats - 2
Finish - Pixie Dust
Collection - Summer Pixie
Colour - Gold/Nude
Topcoat - No

Bar by Zoya can be best described as a glittery nude topaz in the best-selling ultra textured, matte, holographic Magical Pixie formula.

The magical pixie's are the ones with lots of larger hex glitters, so even denser than Levi. This has a good formula, no running or pooling (way too much texture to run or pool) and opaque in two coats, because they have way more glitter than the usual pixie's they're a tiny bit more difficult to remove  as with any glitter.

The last picture shows, (L to R) Tomoko, Levi and Bar, hopefully you can see the different textures, Tomoko is the original pixie, then Levi is an Ultra Pixie and finally Bar is a Magical Pixie.

Weekend Mani

 Hey there

Oh an extra post!

When I'm not wearing the last Zoya polish, I like to wear something bright and this weekend is no exception, I decided to try out my new Fancy Gloss neons and yip they are definite neon and bright!

This is two coats of Neon Yellow, without my LED light on, I just had my little LED strip on. I used Neon Pink and Neon Blue to stamp with, dont look too closely I was struggling to see pink polish on a pink stamper!

A Zoya A Day - Raine

Year - 2006

Colour - Silver/Grey
Topcoat - No

Raine is a discontinued polish be Zoya, I'd describe her as a milky pale silvery grey with a pink/purple duochromey shimmer shift.

This maybe would get opaque if you did 4 coats but who has time for that?! Not me!

So I decided to do three coats on its own and two coats over a navy a pale purple and a pink. This has a great formula, no running or pooling.  This is one of those colours that is the perfect topper to lots of things. The swatch stick was painted with a black to show the shimmer.

Tomoko by Zoya can be best described as a romantic champagne silver with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish.

This is another stunning pixie dust, this is the original pixie finish which is the very fine grit with no bigger glitters.  Great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats, I've compared Levi and Tomoko in the last photo so you can see the difference. Levi is a much brighter gold then Tomoko.

This is gorgeous, a lovely warm gold in the pixie formula, they dont need base or topcoat and they arnt as tough to remove as a glitter. This has a great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. If you are in a rush you could do a thicker coat and be done in one, these dry really quickly.

One of my fav, if I dont know what to wear to something polishes, its nude so understated but you still get that lush sparkle, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats.

Brighton by Zoya can best be described as a full coverage, diamond holographic soft nude.

One of Zoya's famous scattered holos, I own them all and they are all stunning, gorgeous formula, no running or pooling, sheer so it took three coats for opacity but they were easy coats.  I really hope we see more colours in this finish, I would kill for a yellow and orange version.

Gal is one of Zoya's weird colours, its gold and green at the same time, good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in three coats, its a little sheer to let the sparkles shine.

Colour - Gold

Keira can best be described as a medium sandy taupe with a light copper shimmer running throughout.

I've put this with my golds because the copper shimmer really takes it out of the brown section. This is stunning, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. I'm kinda sad this doesnt stamp as I think the shimmer would look fab but the base is just too sheer.

The botox went great yesterday, lots of precautions at the hospital but it was still a quick appointment, now I just gotta wait 7 to 10 days for it to kick in, in the mean time still taking the baclofen muscle relaxant and any pain killers I need.

This is Maria Luisa on steroids, its those same flakie type pieces but just triple the amount.  Good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in three coats, you could get away with two if in a hurry.

There probably wont be a post tomorrow as I go get my migraine botox. finally!

Richelle is a discontinued polish and described as a golden bronze shimmer with a bold metallic finish, with the appearance of molten metal, this shade screams luxury.

This is another polish I adore, its a deep golden bronzesque gold, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. This is definitely one I wish Zoya would bring back I think it would look amazing on all skin tones.
