Panton Colour of the Year 2019, Living Coral

Happy Monday afternoon!

Today on the blog I have a few suggestions for the Pantone Colour of the Year 2019 to share with you.

Coral is an orange colour with pink in it, also the first use of the word coral to describe a colour was in 1513 so its been around for a while.

So first up are my closest picks in my collection which are below from left to right
China Glaze Mimosa's before Mani's
Zoya Wendy
Zoya Elodie
Kaleidoscope I Am Bright No 14

More words below the pictures.

So on my nails is 3 coats each of I Am Bright No 14 (Right)and Mimosa's before Mani's (Left) and you can see that No 14 is much more on the orange side, this is the merest hint pink in there, Mimosa is much darker and has a gold shimmer that isnt showing up in the photos. I think if I was to pic the closest it would be either of the two Zoya, slightly better formula on those 2 as well, cant find my photos of me wearing either though :(

Ard As Nails Golden Shadow Mani

Good morning on this sunny Tuesday!

Today I have the coolest thermal I've come across so far.

Ard As Nails is a UK indie brand made by the same people behind Soap Dodger. Ard as Nails make vegan and cruelty free nail polish, check out their website below.

So recently on Instagram they showed a limited edition called Golden Shadow and I could not say no!

https://www.ardasnails.co.uk/

Check out the pics on this, its a stunning dark grey when cold and a golden sand colour when warm, this also has little holo flakies, warm this reminds me of beaches and walking along the shore. This isnt available at the moment but I am sure Ard As Nails will come up with some more amazing unusual thermals.

I then stamped using Fab Ur Nails Fun 21 Plate, my CJS stamper and my fav black stamping polish Revlon Stiletto :) This is so cool, I love an unusual combo thermal and this hits the mark.

Primark Polish with nail art

Good afternoon on this (looks out window) sunny Monday.

Today on the blog I have a Primark polish manicure for you, Primark has been doing polish for a while now and they do a range of finishes and bottle sizes.

Today I used one and a half..... I know what you're thinking how do you use a half, well I'll explain, after a couple of pictures :)

Below from left to right we have, Primark Cornflower & Rubine Red, Virago Varnish Beet Ice, Bow Polish Thermo Topcoat Pink and Barry M Plumpy Topcoat.  I also used my CJS stamper and DRK XL Designer 2 stamping plate.

I started with two easy coats of Cornflower which to me looks like it has a grey undertone, great formula no running or pooling.  I then went to stamp with Rubine Red which you can see the result of on my left hand in the warm state, it wasnt quite bright enough for me so I used Virago Varnish Beet Ice on my right hand, I then topcoated my stamping with Barry M Plumpy as I know that doesnt smear stamping, lastly I added the Bow Thermo topcoat in Pink, this dries matte so I did another coat of Plumpy to give it that shine, over all I am pleased with how this turned out, I think if I did it again I might choose a deep grey to stamp with.  Theres just something about grey and pink together though or is that my 80's side coming out? Who can tell!

Prism Polish UK - Dry January and He's an Angry Elf

Today on the blog I have two stunning tri-thermals from UK indie brand Prism Polish.

First up on my left hand is the aptly named Dry January (no buy or low buy anyone??),  this starts of in cold state of a deep purple, warm is a deep pink and hot is a minty green, this also has a pink/orange flash and holo micro flakies as it dries smooth so wont be a pain to remove, I did three coats as the green was a bit sheer but the coats were easy, no running or pooling and really nice formula.

Then on my right hand we have He's an Angry Elf, this also starts out cold as a dark blackened purple with a blue undertone, then warm is a lighter blue toned purple and finally in hot is a dusty darker pink, this has a orange flash and multi-coloured flakies, again also dries smooth, I did 3 coats on this one as I wanted maximum punch from the flakies :) perfect formula no running or pooling.

If you love thermal polishes I highly recommend these, bottles are 10ml and Dry January is on sale for £7.50, Angry Elf is £9, these are great value for money, now enough of the waffle lets see some photos!

Zoya Jenna

Happy Monday....? Is that even a thing?

Everyone has gone back to work or school, I'm hopefully back into my regular routine as well. Funny how having the hubs home from work changes your schedule.

Today for your viewing pleasure I have Jenna, she is described by Zoya as a full-coverage dusty rose pink cream with blue undertones, this was opaque for me in one sweet coat, perfect formula, no running or pooling.

I fancied doing a bit of stamping for some interest, I used Boysenberry Jam by Virago Varnish, DRK XL Designer 2 plate and my Clear Jelly Stamper stamper, all topped off with Barry M plumpy topcoat but only on the stamping as Jenna is quite shiny on her own.
