Zoya Evvie and Hunter

Todays nails are both greens.

Evvie is very unusual, its green but with a very pronounced grey undertone, against Hunter it looks like a very dark grey with a green undertone but I put it against a grey it looks green lol cant win, think I need a row for strange colours that Zoya do, Charisma is the same its too purple to be pink and too pink to be purple.

Hunter is a deep forest green, you could mistake this for black in low lighting but once sun or bright light hits it, its clearly a deep green.

Both Hunter and Evvie had perfect 2 coat formulas, no running or pooling.

A Zoya a Day - Donnie and Reagan

Todays nails are both amazing pinks, first up Donnie a dark sultry pink, good formula, goes where you put it no running or pooling, opaque in 2 coats, it could be a one coater, I think I over manipulated the polish and created bald spots hence I did 2 coats.  Reagan is a brighter pink, again perfect formula no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat.  I then decided to do a coat of the topper Leisel over my middle fingers.

The bottom picture is a comparison of Donnie to one of my top 10 pinks Charisma, you can see how very bright Charisma is compared to Donnie.

The start to day wasnt great, I was woken at 5.44am with migraine pain, took my abortive and some painkillers, the abortive didnt work, when I then got up at 8.20am I managed to put 2 contact lenses in one eye, then only a few hours later realised I'd put the wrong lenses in each eye!

Coats - 2
Finish - Matte
Collection - Winter 2009 Matte Velvet
Colour - Purple
Topcoat - none

They were both 2 coaters and Harlow dried very fast, it was one where you dont want over manipulate the polish so I did these in the 3 strokes method. Harlow is a pink toned purple with silver sparks.

Savita is a gorgeous dark blue toned purple. These really do live up to their velvet name.

Below shows the polishes without topcoat until the last photo which has topcoat on to show how lush these are with topcoat.

Autumn mani using spring colours

Another nail challenge from instagram :)

I used the following items

Virago Varnish
Malibu, Bug Bites, Beet Ice and Monstrous

Zoya Anchor Basecoat, Love Angeline Top Coat, Clear Jelly Stamper Big Bling, Nail Artisan Scraper and Uberchic plate Lovely Leave 2.

I always start with 2 coats of Zoya Anchor as my nails will stain while you look at them, then I did one coat of Malibu, if I'd just been wearing Malibu on its own I would have done 2 as I had the meerest hint of streaking but I knew I was stamping over it so one was ok.

I think used Bug Bites as the bases of the trees, then Beet Ice for the branches and finally Monstrous I used with a reverse stamp of autumn leaves.

I kinda misjudged my left nail coz I couldnt quite see/judge where the darker pink was but over all I am so happy with these :)

On my thumbs I did a gradient of all the darker pinks.

Nail Challenges on Instagram

I've been AWOL I know, a combo of being over to my mums who doesnt have internet and the signal is very bad from Three, so I loaded up my kindle and had an unplugged couple of days.

I'm back and I had the most fantastic nail mail from Nail Artisan by Alex. Top row is
Zoe, Lauren, Carmen, Alia, Kerry and Solange, then the Element collection, the mini's are Elphie, Violet and Alicia.

The three PoP Polishes are Slick&Slide, Limeslickcle & Surfslick.

I then somehow managed to enter a monthly comp on Instagram run by the lovely @clairestelle8challenge go check her out she does amazing nail art!

So I did two coats of Zoe then I stamped using MaryAnn and Rumor, both of whom stamped beautifully.
